A Walk Among the Tombstones
I tend to read movie reviews of movies that I plan on seeing but don't plan on seeing in the theaters and this movie is no different. A lot of the reviews were comparing it to Taken which really is unfair to Liam Neeson and everyone involved with the film. Liam Neeson really has gotten type cast recently because of the Taken franchise. Everything that he has starred in recently, people say its Taken on a Plane, Taken in the woods, Taken as a P.I., etc. The particular set of skills isn't part of this movie and I feel that because of the Taken franchise this movie has gotten a bad rep and been tossed aside.
I am not saying that this movie is perfect or that the story line is something new and exciting because it isn't. We have seen this story done before numerous times but that doesn't mean that the movie is bad or not worth watching. Liam Neeson gives a typical Liam Neeson performance which in my book is always worth watching. The supporting cast is adequate and helps move the movie along without getting in the way of the main story too much.
I would give this movie a 7/10 rating and recommend it to anyone looking for a good movie to pass the time.
